Company History
Melina began her career at high-end health clubs, soothing spa sanctuaries and private condominium residences, where she earned a breadth of massage therapeutic experience working on a wide variety of clients. Melina began her own massage practice, Vivify Massage Therapy, so she can share her massage skills in a focused and more customized manner with a clientele who are interested in enhancing the wellness of their body.

A graduate of the Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences Occupational Studies program for Massage Therapy, Melina applies her natural passion for the wellness of the body and mind to her massage therapy work with clients. A cum laude graduate of New York University, she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications and a minor in Spanish.

Melina played collegiate basketball at New York University, contending against highly competitive teams across the country. Her enthusiasm for athletics and her personal awareness of the important mind-body relationship led Melina to the Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences in New York City where she studied massage therapy. At the Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences, Melina participated in a dynamic program that developed strong skills in both western and eastern styles of massage, based upon solid knowledge in the biosciences. Melina recently completed her Master's of Science at Columbia University.
Be Enlivened Through The Power Of Massage
"I am a massage therapist myself, and very particular when choosing one.  Melina has been wonderful to work with, incorporating techniques to fit my needs, and always working to find ways to make each session better than the last. Thank you Melina! You’re a wonderful therapist and colleague!"

I hate to let the cat out of the bag on this one but Melina is probably the best massage therapist I've come across. I'm recovering from a weekend marathon and she tailored the massage to address all the various knots and pressure points that had developed. Melina had me fill out some simple forms identifying areas of prior injury and she spent several minutes reviewing and discussing (lingering hamstring injury, IT band, etc) and adjusted her time allocation accordingly. She's also well educated (NYU grad where she played basketball, LMT) and explained the various physiological reasons for cramping, tightness, soreness, etc. I was impressed. This is a real athletes massage, as further evidenced by the fact that her studio is located within a sports physical therapy center. I was really pleased by the whole experience and highly recommend this place. - Gavin M
